Privacy policy
This policy explains what Lead Card collects, why, and what we do not do. It is written to be read, not skimmed. If anything here is unclear, email hello@leadcard365.com.
What Lead Card is
Lead Card is a browser extension and web dashboard that helps you plan and track your own manual outreach on Instagram and LinkedIn. It suggests people, drafts text, and records the actions you take. It never sends messages, follows, likes, comments, or connects on your behalf.
What we collect about you
- Account information: your name, email address, and password (stored hashed), and your billing status from our payment processor. We do not see or store card numbers.
- Your profile: only what you type or paste at signup, such as your work, what you post about, who follows you, your bio, and a few captions you choose to share. You review this profile before it is used, and you can edit or delete it at any time. We do not pull anything from your accounts and we never log in to them.
- Your activity in Lead Card: the actions you log (followed, commented, messaged, replied, skipped), notes you write, text you paste back, and when you used the product. This is what the daily list and the scorecard are built from.
- Page content, while you use the extension: the extension reads the publicly visible text of the Instagram or LinkedIn page you have open, only while the panel is open, to find the matching person and draft text. It does not read other tabs, your inbox, your followers list, or anything you did not open.
- Technical data: browser type, extension version, and error logs, to keep the product working.
What we do not collect or store
- We never store inferred sensitive traits about you or anyone else: gender, health, religion, politics, sexual orientation, family status, race, or ethnicity.
- We never store your social media passwords or session tokens.
- We never read your direct messages, your inbox, or your email.
- We do not sell personal information to anyone.
The people on your list
Lead Card shows you people whose public profiles suggest they may be a fit for building a travel business, matched to the profile you gave us. For each person we hold public profile information (name, handle, bio, follower count, location if public) and short quotes from posts they chose to publish, with a link to the source, so you can see why they were picked. We hold each person's outreach history with you: what you did, when, and what they said if you logged it. A person's "no" or opt-out is kept permanently so that nobody using Lead Card contacts them again. Each person is shown to one Lead Card user only.
If you are someone who appeared on a Lead Card user's list and want your information removed, email hello@leadcard365.com with your handle. We will remove your profile information and keep only the minimum needed to make sure you are never contacted through Lead Card again.
Who can see your data
Only you. Each user's people, notes, and activity are separated at the database level; other users cannot see them. Our staff can access data to provide support or fix a problem, and that access is logged. We use service providers to run the product (hosting, database, payment processing, email delivery, and AI models that draft text). They process data on our instructions and do not use it for their own purposes.
Where your data lives
In the United States, on infrastructure provided by Supabase and Vercel. Payments are processed by Stripe.
How long we keep it
- While your account is active: everything above.
- After you cancel: your people, timeline, and notes are available for export for 30 days, then deleted.
- Kept after cancellation: billing records as required by law, and the minimal records of who was assigned to whom and who opted out, so that nobody is contacted twice or after saying no.
Your choices
- Edit or delete your profile at any time from the dashboard.
- Export your people and timeline at any time as a CSV.
- Delete your account from the dashboard or by emailing us. Deletion follows the retention rules above.
- If you live in a state with privacy rights (such as California), you can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, and we will not treat you differently for asking. Email us and we will respond within the time the law allows.
Browser extension permissions
The extension asks Chrome for: side panel (to show the card beside the page), storage (your login session and simple preferences on your device), clipboard write (the Copy button), and access to instagram.com, linkedin.com and our own server. It contains no remote code. It reads the open page only when the panel is open.
Children
Lead Card is for adults running a business. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will email account holders before the change takes effect. The date at the top is the date of the current version.
